What we’re looking for: We are looking for a constructive and interactive discussion based on the SDG/ Laudato Si’ topic of taking care of the life below water. United Nations’ research proves that oceans, seas, and marine resources are slowly being depleted and even destroyed because of human interaction through various actions including overfishing, marine pollution, and ocean acidification as a result of climate change. In his papal letter Laudato Si’, Pope Francis takes note of the importance of the world’s waters by stating that, “oceans not only contain the bulk of our planet’s water supply, but also most of the immense variety of living creatures.” Please add to the discussion of this parallel between the SDGs and Laudato Si’ by conveying your knowledge of one or each of these movements’ perspectives on life below water through video, photos, websites, articles, personal comments, and other media.
