What we’re looking for: We are looking for a constructive and interactive discussion based on the SDG/ Laudato Si’ topic of peace, justice, and strong institutions. Although this is seemingly difficult to measure, progress in this sector depends on the issue that is being examined, from the perspective of the United Nations. For example, combative conflicts have been on the rise recently, and some conflicts are producing high levels of civilian casualties; however, homicidal actions have decreased and more people have had better access to means for justice. In his contemplative writing, Laudato Si’, Pope Francis talks about how social peace and a concern for distributive justice are crucial to achieving the stability, security, and common good for all. Please add to the conversation of this parallel between the SDGs and Laudato Si’ by shedding light on what the UN or the Vatican says about this issue using different forms of media (videos, photos, websites, etc.), relevant research documents, and anything else you may feel may add to the conversation.
