What we’re looking for: We are looking for a constructive and interactive discussion based on the SDG/ Laudato Si’ topic of decent work and economic growth. The United Nations expresses that several issues need to be addressed in order to achieve this goal, such as increasing labor output, decreasing overall unemployment rate-especially amongst young people, and enhancing connections between people and financial services and benefits. The Holy Father, Pope Francis, writes about these issues in his encyclical, Laudato Si’ , saying, “the economy accepts every advance in technology with a view to profit, without concern for its potentially negative impact on human beings.” Please add to the discussion of this parallel between the SDGs and Laudato Si’ through pertinent and appropriate use of videos, photos, websites, research documents, articles, or other forms of media that enhance the value of the conversation about economic growth.
