What we’re looking for: We are looking for a constructive and interactive discussion based on the SDG/ Laudato Si’ topic of sustainable cities and communities. According to the United Nations, the world have experienced an unparalleled growth, which has caused more issues to arise, such as increased air pollution, insufficient infrastructure and fundamental services, and unanticipated population spikes in the world’s cities, which leads to weaker metropolitan areas when it comes to disasters. In order to appropriately combat these problems within cities all over the world, urban regions must be organized more efficiently. Pope Francis’ Laudato Si’ communicates a similar concern about the cities of the world, saying, “many cities are huge, inefficient structures, excessively wasteful of energy and water.” Please add to this discussion of the SDG/Laudato Si’ that highlights the need to take care of our world’s cities and communities by adding your own input through videos, photos, articles, websites, research documents, or any other media or appropriate information you would like to bring to the conversation.
